Can you imaging self driving car 10 years ago or even 5 years ago? It's no longer a sci-fi dream anymore as companies are pouring tons of money into this hot new technology that will fundamentally shift the future people travel from one place to another. While you may not have the capital to start the company to create driverless cars, how about invest in one? Let's take a look and see which companies are involved.


First of all Alphabet (GOOG) has already got a huge head start and we've seem news that the company's driverless car being on the road. Then there's Elon Musk's Tesla Motor(TSLA) as the CEO wants to have autonomous vehical by 2018. Even traditional automaker like Ford (F) has invested in self-driving start-up Argo AI and aims to release drivelss car by 2021. Even oversea company Baidu (BIDU) has been developing autonomous vehicle for a while.


Another way to invest in self driving car is to buy the backend technology supplier such as NVDIA(NVDA) that supply driverless car chips. Even traditional auto components supplier Delphi Automotive (DLPH) has been developing selfdriving car system. And if you think Qualcomm (QCOM) is only for cell phones, you probably missed the news that it has purchased NXP Semiconductor, a company that develops driverless car system. And with the recent aquisition of Mobileye, traditional PC chip maker Intel (INTC) is now also in the race to gain shares of selfdriving car market.
